PA-X Peace Agreement Database and Dataset now updated to Version 10

Introducing PA-X Version 10

The PA-X Peace Agreement Database and Dataset, available at www.peaceagreements.org, has been updated and is now current up to the end of 2025, containing 2257 agreements. This tenth update to the database brings 113 new peace agreement documents, 63 of which have been signed in 2025. As has been the case in previous data releases, the two PA-X sub-databases, PA-X Gender and PA-X Local, have also been updated, with 30 and 18 agreements, respectively.

Of the 63 new agreements in 2025, 30 have come from the several peace processes in Colombia, continuing the fraught Total Peace initiative in Colombia. The second most-prolific setting for peace agreements in 2025 has been Eastern DRC, where 11 new formal agreements have been signed in 2025: eight of those have been signed by DRC and Rwanda, and three have been signed by DRC and Alliance Fleuve Congo/March 23 Movement (AFC/M23). The collection of 2025 agreements also includes five agreements between Thailand and Cambodia and four agreements related to Gaza, among others.
