For the first time, PeaceRep is excited to offer a limited number of PeaceRep ODA Scholarships for selected presenters.
Conflict Research Society and PeaceRep to host 2024 conference in Edinburgh
In September 2024, the annual CRS conference will be hosted in partnership with PeaceRep at Edinburgh Law School.
The theme of the conference is ‘Global (De-)Fragmentation? Consequences for Peace and Conflict Research and Practice.’ Submissions for proposals will be accepted until 20 January 2024.
This year, PeaceRep is excited to offer a limited number of PeaceRep ODA Scholarships for selected presenters from ODA recipient countries. Early career researchers are particularly encouraged to apply by submitting a paper to present at CRS 2024. The scholarship will cover the cost of attending the conference in Edinburgh, with full selection criteria available here.
The 2024 CRS conference theme
In recent years, intrastate conflict and mediation efforts appear to be more fragmented than ever before. Intrastate conflicts now exhibit higher levels of fragmentation, involving competing actors and interests across local, national and international levels.
As the international dynamics of conflict generation and resolution continually shift, creative solutions are urgently needed. The 2024 CRS conference aims to encourage dialogue, diversity and inclusiveness, and collaboration to find new approaches to achieving lasting peace.
