Robert Forster

Mr Robert Forster is a PhD fellow with Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI) in Bergen, Norway. His current research focuses on urban refugees and refugee governance with particular focus on Tripoli, Lebanon. Research interests include peacebuilding, human rights, forced migration, and governance. Formerly a research associate with the PSRP from 2015-2019, Robert was a core contributor to the PA-X Peace Agreement Database. He was also a researcher on the UN Women project, ‘Enhancing Women’s Leadership for Sustainable Peace in Fragile Contexts in the MENA Region’, and an Edinburgh team member on the Yemeni Voices project. Robert graduated with distinction from the University of Edinburgh in 2014 and with first class honours from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand, in 2012 and has studied Arabic in Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan.
