Dr Chris Thornton


Dr Chris Thornton is an expert on conflict, mediation, national dialogues and political transitions.

Chris began his career with the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) in 2011: he assisted in establishing HD’s programme in Libya, where he managed complex peace processes and national dialogue initiatives, and in Tunisia, where his work supported the 2014 electoral process.

Chris holds a DPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford, where his thesis focused on political transitions in the Arab world.
