Dr Benjamin Houghton is a MEND Analyst and member of the Global Transitions research team at St Andrews. His research focuses on conflict in the Middle East, transnational repression globally, and the policies of emerging great powers in the Global South. He is the author of China’s Strategy in the Gulf: Navigating Conflicts and Rivalries.
