PeaceRep Mailing List Privacy Statement

Information about you: how we use it and with whom we share it

By subscribing to PeaceRep’s mailing list, users are opting in to receiving occasional email updates from PeaceRep.

Subscribers can opt out of receiving emails at any time, either by clicking the link provided in newsletter emails received from PeaceRep, or by contacting the PeaceRep team via email with a request to unsubscribe from the mailing list.

The PeaceRep team only uses the personal data provided by mailing list subscribers in order to deliver and improve the information we share with subscribers in a personalised manner, so that each individual receives relevant information.

To do so, we are using the University of Edinburgh’s account with DotDigital as our mailing system. Users’ personal data will not be shared with other organisations outside of the University of Edinburgh. The information you provide will be used by the PeaceRep team to:

  • Keep you up to date with news and progress relating to PeaceRep
  • Provide you with information on any services you have requested and the promotion of benefits and services
  • Ensure we only communicate with you about events, opportunities, or services of interest to you

We are currently using your information because you have previously indicated your interest to be added to our mailing list.

We will hold the personal data you provided us for 12 months.  After this period we will send communication to you querying whether you wish to remain on the mailing list.  Alternatively, you can opt out of the mailing list at any time by sending a request via email to peacerep@ed.ac.uk.

We do not use profiling or automated decision-making processes.  A human decision maker will always be involved before any decision is reached in relation to your personal data.
