Sudan Peace Process: Where are we and what have we learnt from past national and international processes
February 2, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
The Peace Research Institute (PRI) of the University of Khartoum and the Political Settlements Research Programme (PSRP) of the University of Edinburgh, are holding a virtual session, supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), on Sudan’s peace process.
The session will highlight lessons learned from previous peace processes in Sudan, as well as the implications of those lessons on the ongoing process (including the Juba Peace Agreement and beyond). The session will also explore how challenges currently being experienced in the Sudanese context were addressed in other contexts and will explore the role of the international community in supporting the Sudanese peace process moving forwards.
The session will run for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, including a Q&A discussion.
Note the change in date – this event has been rescheduled for Tuesday 2 February 2021.
