Dr Emmanuel De Groof

Dr Emmanuel De Groof currently serves as a diplomat with the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In his prior academic career, he has been closely engaged with issues of peacebuilding and transitional governance.

He is the author of State Renaissance for Peace: Transitional Governance under International Law (Cambridge University Press, 2020), based on research conducted with the Political Settlements Research Programme (now PeaceRep). He is also the co-editor of International Law and Transitional Governance: Critical Perspectives (Law, Conflict and International Relations) (Routledge, 2020).
