New PeaceTech Course: Data, Visualisation, and AI for Peacebuilding

Peacebuilding professionals now have the opportunity to strengthen their technical and analytical skills through PeaceRep’s new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course on PeaceTech. This online course is designed for practitioners who want to integrate data, visualisation, and AI tools into their work to better understand and support peace processes.

The course will introduce participants to social science approaches to peace and conflict data, as well as practical tools for analysis and visualisation. By the end of the course, participants will be able to access and work with key datasets, understand the principles of research design and data interoperability, and create clear, evidence-based visualisations, including using the PA-X Peace Agreement Database.

The course is led by Dr Sanja Badanjak, PeaceRep’s Data Director and a Chancellor’s Fellow in Global Challenges at Edinburgh Law School. Dr Badanjak specialises in quantitative and text-as-data methods, with research interests spanning institutions, elections, and peace processes.

The PeaceTech CPD course begins on 12 January 2026, with applications closing on 9 October 2025.
