PeaceRep has opened applications for an online course covering the latest developments in the field of gender, peace and security, with a focus on gender inclusive peace processes in a rapidly changing world.

PeaceRep Launches New Short Course on Gender and Peace Processes
Through PeaceRep’s new online course, students from around the world will have the opportunity to engage with cutting-edge materials and interact with leading experts on issues of gender inclusion and peacebuilding.
The short course, ‘Gender and Peace Processes in a Changing World‘, is the first of its kind from PeaceRep. Over five weeks, students will explore a range of critical issues, from the Women, Peace and Security agenda to the challenges of advocating for gender inclusive peace processes within the rapidly changing conflict landscape.
PeaceRep Research Fellow Laura Wise will lead the course. An expert in her field, Laura has previously worked with UN Women to support women engaged in peace processes in Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Libya.
Open to all, the five-week course aims to build knowledge capacity in gender inclusion in peace processes, particularly among peacebuilding professionals in international organisations, non-governmental organisations, government, and/or academia.
The first cohort of students will begin their studies in January 2024. Students will learn how to use leading PeaceTech and data tools to assess gender inclusion in peace processes and strategize for inclusive change.
Apply by 31 October 2023 to be part of the January 2024 cohort.
