Mazen Gharibah

Mazen Gharibah is a researcher with the Conflict and Civicness Research Group at LSE, working on Syria. He is also a Research Associate at the Conflict and Civil Society Research Unit in the Department of International Development at LSE.

Mazen’s work focuses on the role of governance during and post conflict. He combines academic research with policy work and strong grassroots experience.

He has published on local governance and the perception of legitimacy in Syria. He previously worked as Lecturer at Brno University and Palacky University in the Check Republic, as governance advisor with Adam Smith International and GIZ, and a consultant for several international think tanks.
