Dr Kasia Houghton

Kasia Houghton is a postdoctoral researcher focusing on mediation and peace interventions in violent conflict. She works with the Global Fragmentation team at PeaceRep where she contributes to the construction of a global database on mediation, produces academic and policy outputs, and engages in executive education and consultancies for policy makers and practitioners. Her work specifically focuses on the nexus between peace-making and strategy in the context of non-Western peace interventions.

Kasia is a fellow of the Centre for Global Law and Governance, Institute for Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and Caucasus Studies, and Centre for Syrian Studies at the University of St Andrews. She is also the co-editor of China, Russia, and the USA in the Middle East: The Contest for Supremacy (2024).
